The food is not bad... some dishes could use more flavor, and others more care, for sure. The issue I have with this restaurant is the air temperature. Sadly, this is the case in more and more restaurants now. There is no reason to have the a/c on (instead of just the fan) when virtually every customer in the place is choosing to keep their sweater or jacket on. That SHOULD BE an obvious sign to the managers and wait staff that the customers are uncomfortable. It's certainly not conducive when serving hot food, either... and is probably the reason why food arrives barely warm and is cold within minutes of getting to your table. Today, when I asked if the a/c could be turned down just a bit, I was told there's only one thermostat. Well, that didn't answer my question and it only takes one thermostat to make the dining room a pleasant temperature for everyone. That said, if it continues after this review, we may stop going all together. With menu prices being what they are nowadays, going out just to be uncomfortable and served tepid food too, just isn't worth it. There are other places that don't overuse the a/c. I do hope management finds this review helpful as I'd like

Food looked okay, but it took 30 minutes for an appetizer, a rice dish, and a personal pizza.. Everything came out lukewarm. The only thing colder was the strange, abrasive wait staff that served us. No clue what's going on, but there seemed to be an over abundance of staff, oddly enough. Place was clean, but the food was sub par - there's no excuse. It's odd everything came to use not hot, but tepid, some items cold with the appetizer. Bad management? Cooks calling out? All of the above? No clue, but I would not recommend this location and we'll be sure to never come back, and make sure nobody else we know have the displeasure of such subpar service and overpriced, lukewarm food. Shame, the host was very kind and inviting, and the menu options are okay.

BJ’s Restaurant & Brewhouse in Oxnard came through 🔥 Ordered a 3-topping deep dish pizza, a side of ranch, and a flight of their in-house beers — everything was on point. The pizza was thick, cheesy, and packed with flavor, and the beer flight paired perfectly with it. Came out to about $50 with tip, which honestly feels fair for the quality and experience. It was ok food was cold and things didn’t tastes as good as you would want. Service was ok but I did tell her the food was cold and took a long time to come back. The place good well kept clean and spacious.i wouldn’t go back to this particular location thumbs down 👎

I had a great night enjoying a meal here. My server was Jojo, who by the way, is very funny very kind and knows how to engage with customers very well. Definitely deserving of a raise no doubt. The night was busy but it was calming and not so loud which was therapeutic after a long week. I had the Crispy Chicken sandwhich with chips and Artichoke Dip. And it was absolutely delicious and would easily stop by and get it again. Prices are a little high here so I do recommend coming here on a special night. But you will love the service and the ambiance. Great for a date!
